    IQ test

    harki in masalaro hal kone jayeze dare

    Achilles runs a race with the tortoise. He runs ten times
    as fast as the tortoise. The tortoise has 100 yards’ start.
    Now, says Zeno, Achilles runs 100 yards and reaches the
    place where the tortoise started. Meanwhile the tortoise
    has gone a tenth as far as Achilles, and is therefore 10
    yards ahead of Achilles. Achilles runs this 10 yards.
    Meanwhile the tortoise has run a tenth as far as Achilles,
    and is therefore 1 yard in front of him. Achilles runs this
    1 yard. Meanwhile the tortoise has run a tenth of a yard,
    and is therefore a tenth of a yard in front of Achilles.
    Achilles runs this tenth of a yard. Meanwhile the tortoise
    goes a tenth of a tenth of a yard. He is now a hundredth
    of a yard in front of Achilles. When Achilles has caught
    up this hundredth of a yard, the tortoise is a thousandth
    of a yard in front. So, argued Zeno, Achilles is always getting
    nearer the tortoise, but can never quite catch up.

    how is this possible? how come Achilles can never catch up the tortoise?

    Achilles will catch up tortoise after 1000/9 or 111.11111111 yards, after that Achilles will be in front.

    awesome..
    but there is something confusing with the problem. I mean there is a paradox. do you know what that is?

    Achilles:
    X1
    T1
    V1

    Tortoise:
    X2= X1 - 100
    T2
    V2= V1 / 10

    V= X/T
    T1 = T2
    X1 = 1000/9

    yeah, that's right
    although the premises of problem are logical, don't you think there is a contradiction. your answer is right, but if we look at the problem, it seems there is no answer. numbers are infinite. a hundredth of a yard closer, a thousandth of yard, a millionth of a yard,... and so on...it seems that there is no limit

    There are three principle of logic:

    Deduction: The result of deduction is fact that is definitely true if the premises are true.
    Induction: The result of induction is a principle that is probably true.
    Abduction: The result of abduction is a case that may be true.

    The logic that has been used in Achilles story is Induction, so it’s not reliable.

    The problem of Induction may be illustrated by a story:

    The story of the research oriented turkey. During his first morning on the turkey farm the turkey observed that food was provided at 9 oclock. He had a scientific mind and did not want to draw hasty conclusions. He made more observation under different ***cumstances; different days of the week, different weather, and so on. Finally he was ready to make an inductive conclusion:
    “I always get food at 9 oclock”. But it was a false conclusion. Next morning was Christmas, and he was beheaded and served for dinner himself.
